To be fair, Flexvolt and the XGT 5ah and 8ah are the same or larger than any 18V packs. With the current 18650s and 21700s, the only way to get more power is to make physically bigger batteries. Yeah, you get better efficiency at higher voltage but you won't get a 10-cell 36V battery outpowering a 15-cell 18V pack if they're using the same cells.
