No. There is no co-op in the campaign. To focus on providing the best possible experience we broke the two into a separate 4 player co-op mode and a single player campaign. #4. Goro3D Mar 14, 2017 @ 10:17am.
A friend and I are trying to play co-op and everything is incredibly laggy. We haven't been able to play for more than an hour without one of us disconnecting, and things are getting worse and worse. The amount of time before disconnect seems to shorten the more we try to play. I have a much slower connection, but it doesn't seem to matter who hosts, it's always laggy and really frustrating. You see, Dead Rising 4 doesn’t have a co-op campaign option, meaning that if you want to play through the next chapter of Frank West’s story, you’ll be going it alone. Some Dead Rising 2 Info from the article: 1) Changed Save system with multiple save slots 2) Full 2 player co-op throughout the game 3) New interactive combo/environment kills system that replaces the old camera picture taking system to gain EXP. 4) Set in a casino that is itself a mall For some perspective, dead rising 2 launched with single player, fully playable in co op, and a multiplayer mode that was pretty well done. Dead Rising 3 also had the campaign be fully playable in co op, and later added the 4 player super ultra dead rising 3 arcade remix through dlc. Emks.
